NICOLE FOURNIER & VINCENT SALVATI present “The ART-BOX” Full of cockamamie conceptions for your imagination to enjoy! “The ART-BOX” is a conceptual piece based on the procreation of the ‘idea’. We wanted to create an interactive work that would allow the participant to experience an alternative set of ideas in which one could draw inspiration from. The “ART-BOX” holds fifty 1 x 6 inch strips of vellum, each containing an idea conceived by the us. The participant draws a piece from the box and reads the sentence at any time he or she chooses. It is then up to the individual to decide to carry out the act or not. However, our main goal is to show how one may take the initiative, sometime during the day, to immerse oneself in an act of play through alternative thought.
